perfect day printout | Free Download Enclosed

Imagine waking up as Elle Woods, the heroine of Legally Blonde– the song “perfect day” starts playing the second you open your eyes, you step onto your balcony in a silky robe and enjoy the sunshine, make your tea and sit down with a smile on your face to open the big, magical binder that makes the power and efficiency, but also enjoyment with which you run your life possible.

No one is perfect, but most people are pretty good and trying to get better. Still, with everything we can prioritse and a whole world to save as well as a self to take care of, doing the things that matter most can get hard, and pretty confusing. Its all too common to get sleepy at the end of the day and wonder if we even did anything all day.

Giving yourself a bit of structure, even a minimal one, and most importantly, one which intentionally carves out space for you to have easy, restful days where you won’t be pushing yourself, is a wonderful practice for enjoying life more, and treating yourself like a person, not a productivity machine.

We’re big journalers around here; writing stuff down has a magical way of making things more real, but also more playable-with. all the thoughts and ideas floating through our heads all day are too faint to grasp but words on paper are always the beginning of bringing ideas into physical reality. We’ll be sharing more stories, techniques, and intensive studies into various forms of journaling, but for now we have a sweet lil freebie from way back when.

This is essentially a habit tracker, something I now use on every day to keep track of how often I do the things I know make me feel better, plus get the enjoyment of ticking little boxes. Life inevitably shows you things that make a day better. From advice or experimentation, or hearing about something new and wanting to try it, we get these ideas for what might be life-changing if we did it every day. But every day is tricky. Formats like this, fun and easy enough to look at and be reminded without feeling the urge to fill a whole page, are low-pressure, and enjoyable structures.

Here is your download.

Now enjoy the insights of infinitely wise, 2020-era Georgie:

Fill it out with whichever of these make sense for you. Promise yourself a reward on top of the effects of a week of perfect days. Then enjoy the satisfaction of checking each circle off every day.

Write your dreams before you even change position from sleeping if you want to remember them and even lucid dream.

Walk around the block/ dance into the shower/ move your body in some way.

Insider tip: You can meditate in the shower.

Meditate. Chant. Breathe in and out 8 counts 8 times. Find something. Non negotiable.

Tea ritual/ coffee and a well rounded breakfast (not carb based)/ pack snacks (nuts, fruit)/ fuel your life to the fullest.

Wear something you’d be ok with dying in or meeting one of the most important people of your life in.

Set priorities by speaking into your phone to set one single important reminder/ meticulously crafting and taping and journaling in a planner. #plannercommunity #recoveringadd #ocd also

Make time for a body which provides time for you. In order to be in peak condition in every part of your life, you need an optimal body. Either before work or after hit your favorite sport/ dance/ gym space and enjoy the free high.

Go to work/ sit at desk/ set yourself up anyhow. Set a pomodoro timer (25 minutes + 5 minute break). I like one called Pomodoro Timer I think which lets you keep track of a few projects for free, so your windows of intense work time are added up which is useful for getting paid among other things.

Write. If you can, also read, but definitely write. If you can’t write:

  1. Tell yourself three things you are grateful for when you wake up.
  2. Chose the 3 things you can do today to move you in the most fun way possible to the thing you desire.
    pm
  3. Note 3 things you loved about the day.
  4. How can you make it even better.

And you may have guessed it but the next suggestion is an end of the day stream-of-consciousness. You don’t even have to try. It should speak for itself.

Planning your outfit for the next day: if you haven’t planned your week already has easy consequences. So does meal planning. Even where you’re going to eat if you don’t cook.

Epsom salt foot baths, happy-tea, essential oil aromatherapy, sheet face masks. So many ways to treat yourself at the end of the day that are actually enjoyable.

Consume media mindfully. If this were the last thing you were going to watch, read, play – on a scale of 1-12 how mad would you be?

Yoda Nidra.

That is all.

(okay rain sounds, 417 Hz healing music, Native American flutes or whatever floats your sleep boat are also allowed, just take 1 thing from yoga nidra or chakra meditations which is the intention – it doesn’t matter what – just Set It.)

It’s like if Santa Claus existed and you didn’t write down what you want.
